Opened in December 2009 by Chefs Edgar and Kim Alvarez, Avenida Restaurant serves Latin American food in the Guatemalan tradition that Chef Edgar grew up with.
Set in a historic Mount Airy home called the Cresham Cottage, which was built in the 1700s, patrons sit by the stone fireplace or on the romantic outdoor porch sipping margaritas and sampling Chef Edgar’s signature guacamole with homemade tortilla chips and fresh salsa.
