"Get Your Joy On!" — Inkandescent PR Helps Create New Marketing Campaign for the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference & Visitors Bureau

October 1. 2011, Annapolis MD — Inkandescent Public Relations is thrilled to have partnered with Art at Large, Inc., a graphics and public art company based in Annapolis, MD, on the fall 2011 Get Your Joy On Annapolis marketing campaign.

In addition to helping with project management, hiring photographers and videographers, and assisting Art at Large’s president Sally Wern Comport, Inkandescent PR’s Hope Gibbs helped write the text that appears on the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference & Visitors Bureau website, www.visitannapolis.org/get-your-joy-on.

“Hope and I had a ball working on this fun and innovative campaign,” says Comport, who has created award-winning illustrations for dozens of books, and magazines, as well as the Art Walk, a community public art project bringing grand scale art to the walls of exterior buildings using the city of Annapolis itself as an open air gallery. “The guidance of the marketing department at the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference & Visitors Bureau was invaluable, and both Hope and I had a wonderful experience working with our team to execute their ideas.”

The photographer on the project is Charlie Archambault, whose career as a photojournalist has taken him around the world to cover the important news stories of our time. As a chief photographer for US News and World Report, his assignments included the coverage of five presidents, Olympic games, natural disasters, and war. He is currently using his talents to create artful, creative portraits at weddings around the country. See details here.

Our videographers are Steve Janas and Jesper Olsson of Reel Stuff Entertainment,, who have produced more than 600 videos for broadcast and New Media applications since being established in 2003. Among these have been original series for The Discovery Channel and The Travel Channel, and original content for a roster of clients that includes Simon & Schuster, Harvard University Press, LexisNexis, and others.

There are plans to roll out additional “Get Your Joy On” campaigns, so stay tuned for more.
