Arlington, VA, January 2011 — Imagine a neighborhood urgent-care office that is open nights and weekends, and accepts major insurance. That’s Simplicity Urgent Care, located at 3263 Columbia Pike in Arlington, VA.

Come celebrate the grand opening tomorrow, Thursday, January 20, from 6–8:30 p.m. Arlington County Board Chairman Christopher Zimmerman, and Arlington Chamber President Richard V. Doud, Jr., will join Simplicity’s owners Dr. John Jones and Dr. John Maguire, for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“The Chamber is very excited to have a new urgent-care center in Arlington,” says Arlington Chamber President Rich Doud. “The facility is huge, incredibly clean, and very efficient. Those who choose Simplicity can rest assured that they’ll get the finest care.”

Besides treating sore throats and cold and flu symptoms, cuts and abrasions, strains and sprains, and urinary tract infections, the doctors on staff also provide immunizations, X-rays, drug screenings, travel medicine, and more.

Those services are very appealing to Arlington County Board Chairman Chris Zimmerman.

“One of the major goals of our Columbia Pike Initiative is to promote the provision of the full range of services needed in the community,” he says. “While we are always happy to welcome any new business to the Pike, today is especially exciting because this new urgent-care facility will fill an important gap in services currently available on South Arlington’s Main Street.”

With more than 25 years of combined emergency room and medical experience, doctors Jones and Maguire say they have learned from their patients that the best way to provide good medical assistance is to deliver it as easily as possible to the patient.

“Making healthcare easier is our goal, and it applies to everything we do,” Dr. Jones explains. “Since opening our doors at Thanksgiving, we have already treated hundreds of patients and look forward to becoming the go-to urgent-care center in Arlington in the months to come.”

The event is being catered by Culinaria Cooking School, which will be preparing hot and cold appetizers and dessert, as well as hosting a wine tasting. Event sponsors are Access National Bank, ADI Construction, Inc., and Baskervill Architecture + Engineering + Interior Design.
