Simplicity Urgent Care, the newest medical office at 3263 Columbia Pike in Arlington, opened its doors on Nov. 22. The facility took care of 12 patients on its first day, according to co-founder Dr. John Jones.

Jones says he hopes people will take advantage of the clinic’s services during the upcoming week if their regular doctors are unavailable due to the holiday.

Simplicity will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The center, which is located in the Westmont shopping center at Columbia Pike and South Glebe Road, is now staffed with a total of four doctors, four medical assistants, two licensed practical nurses, two X-ray technicians, and two receptionists.

“We’re very excited about things going well,” Jones says. “We’re working out all the kinks with our system, and the staff and patients have been very accommodating.”

Simplicity has the ability to do X-rays and lab tests on site, as well as fill certain prescriptions.
